The Ant chair is a classic of modern chair design. It was designed in 1952 by Arne Jacobsen and manufactured by Fritz Hansen.

The Ant was named for its similarity to the outline of an ant with its head raised :) designed to be light, stable, easy to stack up, and to minimise tangling the user’s feet.

Made from moulded plywood with teak veneer and chrome plated tubular steel legs. Signs of wear commensurate with age especially the legs which have all suffered from removed rust stains. All legs are now lacquered for protection against rust.

Overall in good vintage condition.
