Rossi is one the foremost exponent of the post modern style but he eschews decorative embellishment in favour of quirky forms.

Here the geometry of the armchair is broken by a dynamic curve that forms the armrests and the legs, which seems to shift the entire structure out of its normal inclination producing an object with a particular dynamism typical of the so-called Streamline furniture style from the last period of Art Deco developed in the 1930s.

Made with enamelled tubular aluminium frame with leather-covered polyurethane foam upholstery.

Rossi said "Of all my work in architecture, I am increasingly fascinated with the design process for the armchair for UniFor: it began as a sketch or a note at the edge of a project plan in New York. It seemed very beautiful to me, it's like in a game: you are among those few who are not following the rules’

Condition:

Some wear constant with age but in overall good vintage condition 8/10.
