Bastiano sofa designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Gavina. The awarding duo designed the Bastiano series for Gavina's experimental design lab in the 1960s. Gavina said of the result that this design used Le Corbusier's principle, where loose cushions make a modern bench, but this time in wood. The sofa is very comfortable because it has thick cushions that fall into the frame. The frame therefore functions as a basket that holds the cushions together.

Condition: Newly upholstered in a chocolate brown velvet fabric, some scratches to the frame but overall in very good vintage condition.
