Crafted from bent and laminated plywood, each chair is formed from a single continuous curve that flows from leg to seat to backrest. The sculptural S-shaped profile creates strength with minimal material, while remaining lightweight, stackable, and highly functional.
Designed during Italy’s experimental design movement of the early 1970s, Sabadin’s Esse chair reflects the era’s push to transform industrial plywood into organic, expressive forms where furniture became both utility and sculpture.
Rare as it was produced in limited runs.
